About Us
Welcome to Slow Artistry!
I grew up in a house that was always a little chaotic.
My mum was an early childhood teacher who believed everyone had an artist inside them - and she ran our home like it was proof of that theory. Someone was always painting on canvas, throwing clay on the wheel, or building something with their hands. Mess was encouraged. Making things was the point.
From a young age I learned that art wasn't about being good at it. It was about the joy of making something real.
Then life sped up.
Work. Screens. Notifications. The constant, low-level hum of keeping up. The tactile world I grew up in - paint on my fingers, the smell of fresh clay, the satisfaction of stepping back and looking at something I'd actually made - slowly disappeared. Replaced by pixels and productivity.
I missed that version of myself. Quietly, for years.
SlowArtistry exists because of that longing.
It's not about producing perfect artwork. It's not about becoming an artist. It's about giving yourself one hour where you're not performing, not scrolling, not optimising. Just your hands, some paint, and something beautiful taking shape in front of you.
There's something that happens when you work with real materials. Your brain shifts. The noise quiets. You become, almost accidentally, present.
That's what I want for you.
Every kit we carry is chosen with that intention. Designs that calm rather than challenge. Everything you need in one box. No prep, no excuses - just open it and start.
If you've felt that quiet pull - that sense that there must be more to the day than a screen - this brand is for you. I made it for myself first. But I'd love for you to find your way to it too.
Pick up a brush. See what happens.
